Private or NHS
What is the difference between NHS and Private Treatment
The NHS covers treatment that your dentist considers is necessary to maintain your oral health.
This does not include cosmetic treatment that you may wish to have to enhance your smile.
Unless clinically necessary, the NHS does not cover the use of cosmetic white fillings on your back teeth.
Sports mouth guards and teeth whitening are not available under the NHS scheme.
Materials your dentist uses for NHS treatment are of a reasonably good quality.
Materials used for private fillings, crowns and dentures are of a higher quality and the dentist and the dental laboratory technician are able to spend more time during their production.
Treatment with the dental hygienist at this practice is only available privately.
